Every once in awhile its important to reconnect with the bigger picture view of a security we own to make sure its still intact. We’ve held Lumentum for a little under a year now on the basis that copper wiring transitions to fiber optic to improve data speeds in the new world of AI through fiber optic cable. AI is really a buzz word for a model that performs huge amounts of statistical analysis on a data set and despite GPUs getting significantly faster, everything else hasn’t … YET.
Lumentum is a picks and shovels play on the back of AI that has been in stealth mode up until today and the outlook over the coming years really hasn’t been better despite the markets performance over the past year.
